The Tamarind Restaurant Mayfair was the first UK Indian restaurant to be awarded a Michelin Star.
Chef Atul Kochhar brought a new dimension to fine Indian dining, creating traditional recipes with modern twists for his adoring fan base, and his amazing mastery of Indian cuisine earned him the accolade of being described by Pru Leith as ‘the master of spice.’
Eddie Stableford worked closely with Atul and the marketing team of The Tamarind Restaurant Mayfair to faithfully replicate a range of marinades, sauces and chutneys for large scale production and sale through multiple retailers.
He also conceived two new ‘spice for rice’ products and also sourced mini poppadums, perfect for dipping.

Of our work, Atul said:
“Eddie worked with me in taking my range of chutneys, marinades and sauces from the kitchen of the Michelin Star Tamarind Restaurant to the shelves of Sainsbury’s. He had a fantastic instinct for capturing and recreating the very essence of my products and worked tirelessly to authentically replicate them for retail. He was also great fun to work with.”
